Habakkuk 2:1-4 (KJV)
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
When we made the commitment to God to do His will, we had no idea what we were in for. Some of us made the commitment because the preacher shamed us into saying yes or we were caught up in the emotions of saying yes even though we were not ready; nevertheless, we said yes to God.
In the beginning the road was wonderful because our faith was increasing, we were learning new things and experiencing God in many ways. When we called on Him, He was right their, but as we went further into our journey with God; tasks, trials and tests got harder, our enthusiasm diminished, God begin to require more from us – like accountability and now it is real. Sometimes, we would talk to God and say that we did not sign up for being lied on, talked about, made mockery of or being misunderstood, nor did we sign up for being the example for others. We tried to throw in the towel and God threw the towel back at us. We cried and pondered countless nights as to why did God choose me; we are not strong enough to go through and come out victoriously.
Looking back (if you notice you are further along than when you started) from further down the road, we discovered several things:
- Through our persistence we learned to keep going when everything in us told us to quit.
- Nothing is Impossible ~ The word itself tells me “I’m Possible”.
- We never know how strong we were, until being strong was the only choice we had left.
So I Say, Let Your Faith Take You Where Your Eyes Can’t See!
Always, Be Blessed and Highly Favored In God!
