On My Knees ~ That’s Where I Have Victory and Triumph

on your knees

Ephesians 6:10b-13 (Easy-To-Read-Version)

be strong in the Lord and in his great power.

Wear the full armor of God. Wear God’s armor so that you can fight against the devil’s clever tricks.

Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places.

That is why you need to get God’s full armor. Then on the day of evil, you will be able to stand strong. And when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing.

We learn as we grow in God that our Spiritual Walk is a warfare. The hosts of satan are committed to hinder and obstruct the work of Christ and to knock us out of combat. The more effective we are for the Lord, the more we will experience savage attacks from the enemy. The enemy does not waste his time and ammunition on nominal Christians. In our own strength, we are no match for the devil. So our first preparatory command is that we should be continually strengthened in the Lord and in the boundless resources of His might. God’s best soldiers are those who are conscious of their own weakness and ineffectiveness, and who rely solely on Him. God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. Our weakness commends itself to the power of His—God’s Might.

FALL ON YOUR KNEES ~ We Can’t Fight or Stop What We Can’t See!

When we fall on our knees and pray, that is where we talk to God, we are strengthened in His might and where God instructs, lead and guide us. We can’t stop or fight what we can’t see. We’re constantly surrounded and attacked by wicked spirit-beings whose  assignment is to discourage, frustrate, confuse because the enemy knows our weakest point and aims for it. If the enemy can’t disable us by one method, he will try another.

On Our Knees in Prayer that is where we as soldiers must live and breathe. That is place where we put on our armor and face our enemy. We must yield ourselves in prayer; prayer requires spiritual keenness, alertness, and concentration. Therefore, there must be perseverance and determination in our prayer.
